Seasoned hotel operator completes CTC’s new-look board.
Here is your starter for 10: name the latest member of the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC)’s board of directors. The answer is David Jovanovic, current president at LMI Consultants, who rounds off CTC’s overhaul of its board.
Jovanovic brings with him a deep well of tourism experience, with 30 years as a hotel owner or operator under his belt. He played a central role in developing the Niagara Falls region in Ontario into a major tourist destination. Jovanovic founded the Fallsview Business Improvement Area and then, as chairman, took the reins of the team that influenced the development of the Fallsview Casino Resort.
Jovanovic has a strong academic background, too. He holds a degree in International Economics and World Politics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and has studied Marketing Communications at the University of Toronto, plus Hospitality Design, Management and Marketing at Cornell University, NY.
Welcome to the CTC family, David!
