CTC CEO’s open letter to David Goldstein as he takes the reins of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.
Come on in, the welcome’s warm! That’s the message Michele McKenzie, CTC president and CEO of the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) sends to David Goldstein, the new president and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), in an open letter. Goldstein started in his post yesterday (April 5) and joined TIAC after previously serving as CTVglobemedia Inc.’s senior vice president of Regulatory Affairs.
It was announced last month that David Goldstein was appointed as President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC).
This week, David officially joins TIAC and I want to welcome him to the tourism family.
This is an exciting time for the industry in Canada. Thanks to the exposure of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada has been showcased worldwide to more than 3.5 billion viewers. On the heels of this great success, all of us must continue to work together to keep the momentum going.
I look forward to working with David and all our industry partners to turn this increased interest in Canada into booked visits and healthy returns for the visitor economy.
Sincerely,
Michele McKenzie
President and CEO
Canadian Tourism Commission
