Normally when I’m in Ottawa, I’m here to participate in a series of meetings with our government, partners or business groups. The talk is always of tourism of course, but schedules are typically tight, with not much time for experiencing this great city.
After weeks of discussions, the CTC, Tourism Vancouver, the Vancouver Convention Centre, Tourism Whistler, with support from the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association, shared the news that TED is moving north to its new home in British Columbia.
Wave goodbye to 2012; say hello to 2013. However, year’s end does allow me time for reflection on the work that’s been accomplished and a deep breath before plunging back into the work that lies ahead.
I attended the 2012 Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) conference held in Seattle, WA. It was the first time I had gone to this event and it was nice to be there with a strong contingent of destination marketing organization (DMO) leaders from across Canada.
